SUS4 Chord Detector
Hear a chord, hold up the phone, and know what it is.

SUS4 Chord Detector listens to audio through the microphone and identifies the chord being played. Available on iPhone, iPad and Mac, you hold the phone up to the sound source (live or recorded) and the app names the chord.
Unlike SUS4 Chord ID, which is optimised for a single instrument played directly into the mic, Chord Detector is designed for identifying chords in a mix or from a speaker source. It is useful for quickly working out the harmony in a reference track or confirming a chord you are hearing in a recording.
Chord recognition from audio is a practical shortcut during transcription and arrangement work. SUS4 Chord Detector removes the guess-and-check process of working out what you are hearing by giving you a direct answer from the audio itself.
