SUS4 Backing Tracks

SUS4 Backing Tracks gives you drum, bass and chord backing to practise and perform over, in any key and at any tempo. Available on iPhone, iPad and Mac, it covers blues, rock, funk, jazz, Latin, ballad, country, R&B, reggae, gospel and hip-hop grooves, and you can transpose a track up or down by as much as an octave and set the tempo anywhere from 40 to 240 BPM.

Every track is played by the app itself, note by note, from sampled instruments, so key and tempo are fully independent. Slow a difficult passage right down without the pitch dropping, or move it into your key without the groove changing. Loop a section, mute the drums, bass, chords or lead line, or build your own chord progression and song arrangement and export it as an audio file.

Practising with a backing track is different from practising alone. You are accountable to the time and the harmonic context in a way that solo practice does not demand. SUS4 Backing Tracks makes that accountability available without needing other musicians in the room.
