Every SUS4 plugin is clean and predictable by default. It’s the version you reach for in a mix. Then there’s the Sus switch. Flip it and the plugin stops behaving and starts vibing. It’s different on every single one, and we deliberately won’t tell you exactly what it does. You won’t know until you flip it on your source. That’s the whole point.
- On a compressorSometimes it stops being a compressor at all. The timing rewrites itself with the signal and it starts to feel like a gate, an expander, or something you don’t have a name for yet.
- On an EQBands stop being independent. The curve you drew isn’t quite the curve you hear. Sometimes it’s wrong. Sometimes it’s the take.
- On Crimson preampDrive sits forward. Character that was a hint becomes the point. Clean preamp becomes flattering character box.
- On Channel StripThe signal flow reorders itself. Compress-before-EQ becomes EQ-inside-drive becomes gate-after-compression. A different strip every time you flip it.
