SUS4 BPM Tap tells you the tempo of whatever is playing. Tap along on the screen, let the app listen through the microphone, or load an audio file, and it gives you the BPM. No setup required.
Tap mode updates with every tap and uses the median of your recent taps, so one stray tap does not throw the reading, and the number holds on screen until you start again. Live detection listens continuously, updates about once a second and shows when it has locked on to a steady tempo. File analysis reads MP3, M4A and WAV files.
Available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, where you can tap or listen from your wrist, SUS4 BPM Tap is the quickest way to answer the question that comes up constantly in writing and production sessions: what tempo is this thing actually running at?
