SUS4 Pitch Pipe

SUS4 Pitch Pipe gives you a reference tone for every chromatic pitch across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Tap a note and a sustained tone plays until you tap it again; change octave and set A4 anywhere from 430 to 450 Hz. Use it to tune by ear, warm up a choir, or give a group its starting note.

Each tone is generated on the device with a soft attack, so it starts gently rather than with a click. The Watch app has all twelve notes too, with the Digital Crown to change octave, so you can sound a reference without touching your phone, useful if you are mid-performance and need a quick check.

For longer work, the Drone+ tab holds a single drone, a chord or an interval under you, or glides between two pitches, with a choice of sine, triangle, square, sawtooth or plucked timbre. Pitch pipes are simple because they have to be; SUS4 Pitch Pipe keeps that simplicity, and you are not carrying around an old physical pipe that leaks.
